According to Tula, this is a skincare product designed to deeply cleanse and refine the skin’s texture. It’s formulated with gentle yet effective exfoliating ingredients like pink salt, volcanic sand, and pomegranate. These natural exfoliants help to remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and leave the skin feeling smoother and more radiant.

In addition to exfoliation, the scrub contains probiotics and superfoods, which are signature ingredients in Tula’s products. These help to support the skin’s natural balance, promote a healthy-looking complexion, and reduce the appearance of pores over time. The formula is suitable for most skin types and is especially popular for those looking to achieve a fresh, glowing look without harsh abrasives.

Let me start off by saying that I didn’t go out of my way to buy this exfoliating scrub — it came from one of my subscription boxes (thankfully!). With the price tag that it carries, I probably wouldn’t have picked it up myself unless I really knew what I was getting. But now that I’ve tried it, here’s my full, honest, no-filter review.

My first impression....

When I first got the tube, the packaging caught my eye. Tula always nails their branding — it looks clean, modern, and kinda gives off that “clean girl” aesthetic. It just looks like something you'd want to trust with your skin. The scrub itself is a soft pink color, which adds to the appeal.

Now for the smell... I’m gonna be real. I still can’t figure out what it is. It’s not exactly bad — it’s just... strange. It’s not a fruity, floral, or fresh scent like most skincare. It doesn’t really remind me of anything specific. It’s not strong enough to be off-putting, but definitely noticeable enough to make you pause a little and go, “What is that smell?” Some people might love it, others might not mind, but if you’re very sensitive to scents, it could be a dealbreaker. Personally? I’m neutral about it, but it’s not my favorite.

The Application...

Now onto the actual scrub. The texture is creamy but has a good amount of fine exfoliating particles. It’s made with probiotics, fruit enzymes, and superfoods like papaya and pineapple, so the exfoliation comes from both physical and enzymatic sources.

The particles are super fine — nothing gritty or overly rough. It doesn't feel like you're rubbing sandpaper on your face, which I really appreciate. It gives just enough exfoliation to feel like it’s doing something, but it doesn’t leave your skin red, raw, or sensitive after. I have skin that reacts pretty quickly to harsh products, and this didn’t give me any burning, tingling, or tightness. So if you’re someone with sensitive skin or if you're just starting with exfoliants, this is a nice option.

Right after rinsing, my skin feels noticeably smoother and soft. Like you know that clean, freshly buffed skin feeling? That’s exactly what I get with this. My face feels polished, but not stripped. There’s no tightness or dryness. I also noticed my skin looked a little brighter after using it — not in a dramatic glow-up way, but more like a healthy, fresh kind of clean. It doesn’t dry me out, and it doesn’t leave behind any weird film. That’s a big plus.

I’ve used this 1–2 times a week for a while now, and overall, I’m happy with how gentle it is. It didn’t cause me any breakouts, which is always a risk with new products. Over time, I’ve noticed that my skin texture looks a little more even, and I feel like my serums absorb better after using it. It definitely helps slough off dull skin without overdoing it.

But — and this is important — I wouldn’t call it a miracle product. It’s not one of those “wow, I look like I had a facial” kind of exfoliators. It’s more of a slow, consistent worker that helps maintain your skin. If you have serious clogged pores, acne, or texture issues, this may not be powerful enough on its own. But for maintenance and glow, it holds up pretty well.

The price...

This is where I pause. Because the price is steep. Depending on where you get it, it’s usually around ₱1,800–2,000 (or $34-ish), which is a lot for a scrub — especially considering there are drugstore options that work well too.

The only reason I gave it a try is because I got it in my subscription box. And honestly, that’s the only way I’d probably get it again. It’s nice, but it’s not holy grail level for me personally. If you have the budget or if it’s on sale, then go for it! But I wouldn't call it a must-have unless you really love the brand or need something ultra-gentle.

Pros:

      • Very gentle, non-irritating exfoliation
      • Leaves skin soft and smooth
      • Clean, aesthetic packaging
      • Doesn’t dry out or strip the skin
      • Contains probiotics and superfoods

⚠️ Cons:

      • Strange, hard-to-describe scent
      • Expensive for a scrub
      • Not super potent — may not be enough for deeper exfoliation needs

My Final Thoughts...

If you're looking for a luxury-feel exfoliator that's kind to sensitive skin and helps with glow and texture over time, the Tula So Poreless Scrub is worth checking out. Just be prepared for the scent — and the price tag. If you get it in a box or on a discount, even better!
