Smashbox Studio Skin Full Coverage: Makeup Review

One of the beauty products that are frequently on the must-have list for those who wear makeup is foundation. It could cover up flaws and hyperpigmented areas on our faces. Additionally, it can help to even out the tone of our skin and make us look more radiant.

I'm eager to test this foundation because it's been a while since I bought one from a non-Korean company. This one was significantly cheaper for me to buy, so when it arrived, I was overjoyed.

Smashbox Studio Skin Full Coverage is a liquid foundation that glides over skin and provides 24-hour full coverage. Hyaluronic acid and vitamin E were used to achieve its matte texture and subtle blurring effect. The waterproof formula in this foundation controls shine and oil, resists sweat and humidity, won't look cakey, and won't clog pores.

Benefits

How to Use

Photo Finish Primer should be used. Blend the foundation in well after adding a drop at first. Within 60 seconds, this formula displays its actual color, and it sets swiftly.

Ingredients:

Isododecane, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Isohexadecane, Petrolatum, Glyceryl Stearate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Hydrogenated Styrene/ Isoprene Copolymer, Microcrystalline Wax\Cera Microcristallina\Cire Microcristalline, Kaolin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Bambusa Arundinacea (Bamboo) Stem Powder, Glycerin, Cholesterol, Bisabolol, Linoleic Acid, Polyethylene, Silica, Propylene Carbonate, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, BHT, [+/- Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491), Iron Oxides (CI 77492), Iron Oxides (CI 77499), Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163), Chromium Hydroxide Green (CI 77289), Chromium Oxide Greens (CI 77288)]

After using it for a few days, all I can say is that it leaves my skin feeling rather thick. I don't wear primer before applying other foundations, but this one really did make me feel greasy or oilier. Although I paid less for this one and had low expectations, it's a bit alarming how it made my face oilier. I'm concerned it can clog my pores and cause severe acne.

As you can see in the picture, it lightened my complexion, but after time, it lost its ability to keep my makeup in place. Despite the 24-hour total coverage that this product claimed to provide, I was not able to see it on my skin. Despite the hyaluronic acid it contains, it made my skin seem greasier rather than more moisturized. I'm still in shock at the result.

However, I at least tried and tested this one so that my readers would know what I thought of it. I was pretty unsatisfied with it, and it led me to believe that I should stick to Korean brands.

I won't buy this product ever again. I won't advise this product to anyone with oily skin like mine since it might make our already oily skin far more greasy.
