OTZI Hydro Crystal Lightweight Gel Moisturizer: Skincare Review

Selecting a moisturizer that best suits our skin type is a smart option when it comes to skincare products. However, those heavy moisturizers that are readily accessible on the market are probably not going to be as helpful for oily skin types like mine, which may be prone to breakouts. They may also leave behind an undesired layer of greasy residue. Water-based gel moisturizers are useful in this situation, and I'm glad to have found OTZI Hydro Crystal Lightweight Gel Moisturizer through one of my beauty box subscriptions.

According to OTZI, this is a lightweight gel moisturizer formulated with hyaluronic acid and crystal flower blend to hydrate, visibly plump, and soften skin. It is suitable for all skin types and comes in a 50ml. This product is vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free, and comes in recyclable packaging. It has a fast-absorbing gel texture that leaves skin feeling softer and hydrated. The iridescent formula glides seamlessly onto dry skin to deliver quick, 24-hour hydration. It retains moisture for more supple, healthy skin.

I used to be not really a fan of moisturizers because I thought that if someone had oily skin, using a moisturizer would make their skin even oilier. However, I was mistaken because, even though I have oily skin, using routine skincare can strip oil from the skin, making it dry and itchy, which is something that frequently happened to me. As a result, I always look for a moisturizer that will help me with that kind of skin issue right away. It is a good thing that advances in skincare have led to the creation of water-based moisturizers that work well for both oily and sensitive skin types.

Upon receiving this through one of my beauty box subscriptions, the packaging caught my attention right away. I put the product inside my fridge before using it since, to me, it has a wonderfully nice cool vibe. This way, when I apply the gel to my skin, I can truly feel its coolness. I appreciate how the packaging appears to be sufficiently sturdy that even if it falls, it will not be easily cracked. In addition, it comes in a glistening white tub that gives the impression that it's a really clean crystalline gel, which is something I really enjoy about it. My eagerness to give this a try quickly grew.

And because I refrigerated it before applying it to my face, I was really pleased with the results. After a hard day of work, and most of the time feeling the heat of the weather due to the temperature here in the Philippines, using this type of moisturizer that is kept in the fridge helps my skin recover and feel refreshed. It's similar to other gel products, however this one seems more potent than the readily accessible ones. The product has a texture that I appreciate since it doesn't feel sticky on my face and doesn't have a strong fragrance, which makes it enjoyable to use.

After using it for a week, I saw a significant decrease in the amount of itching I had from dryness and rough skin. My face feels a little more supple and healthier as a result of the increased moisture it has provided. Furthermore, I did not encounter any adverse reactions. I was quite pleased with the outcome since, as I previously stated, I had assumed that using a moisturizer would exacerbate my oiliness. This product disproved my belief, therefore I was relieved that it neither caused nor contributed to my greasiness on the skin.

Regarding pricing, I believe this one is about $28 and while it is pricey, it is definitely worth a try. Because of the benefits this product may provide for my skin, I genuinely like it. It's absolutely something I'll suggest to anyone searching for a light moisturizer and who, like me, have oily skin.
