Cocokind Oil To Milk Cleanser: Skincare Review

Cleansing is an essential part of our skin care routine. How are we supposed to apply serums and creams if our faces are caked with dirt? It will just clog pores, aggravate our skin, and could even cause undesirable breakouts. Being a blogger, I've used a number of cleansers, and because I subscribe to IPSY, I've learned about a lot more, including the Cocokind Oil to Milk Cleanser.

Credit: Cocokind

It is an oil cleanser that we can actually wash off. This gentle cleanser transforms into milk upon contact with water, leaving skin soft, replenished, and hydrated. This product is centered around prebiotic fermented oat with vegan, gluten-free, and organic ingredients, that will take off the make-up and replenish the skin.

According to Cocokind, our skin hosts a diverse range of bacteria or microbes to keep it healthy and balanced. This prebiotic fermented oat which is included in the cleanser helps to create a healthy environment for the microbiome to thrive, where bacteria can obtain energy and nutrients to live and reproduce. As a result of this, the skin will be able to defend us from external pathogens, inflammation or irritation, and environmental stressors.

Due to my IPSY membership before, I have the opportunity to review this product. This one caught my attention because of its packaging and the several positive reviews I’ve read about it. I had never used oil to milk cleanser before, so I had high hopes for it. Nevertheless, based on what I had read, this product is suited for all skin types, so I started using it right away.

As you can see, the substance has a gel-like appearance and, when exposed to water, transforms into milk. It has a strong aroma of sunflower oil, which I don’t particularly enjoy.

The first day I used this product, I felt uncomfortable since I used it when I was taking my shower, thus I did not see any foamy result, just felt the oil which I was lathering on my skin. I felt that wasn’t quite enough, so I added more. I could feel the grease on my face. I was concerned since I didn’t feel like it was cleansing my skin, and I was scared that it could just clog my pores because it was so oily.

On the second day of use, I applied it in front of the mirror and watched the oil change into milk. It stayed thick and felt like I was putting petroleum jelly all over my face. I thought that it did not thoroughly wash away the filth and oil because there is an oil residue on my skin after using this. This one will work well for me if it is used as part of a double cleansing approach, where we may use it as the first step to properly remove the oil residue from this product.

Using this stuff makes me feel quite uncomfortable. Because of this product’s greasy or oily effect, I fear that if I use it frequently, I may develop breakouts. Although I am not the target market for this product, I do suggest it to anyone with dry skin and those searching for items for double cleansing.

My Overall Rating:
⭐⭐(2/5)
All skin types can use Oil to Milk Cleanser. It is really delicate and won't dry out our skin. It is a mild cleanser designed to get rid of grime and makeup without drying out our skin. In addition, this oil-based cleanser was intended to be really mild and not damage our skin's barrier. It may be used everyday and is a perfect option for people with sensitive skin. It is appropriate for when we want to "wash" the face or if we just aren't used to washing oils because it is more similar to a standard cleanser.

The product comprises naturally gluten-free fermented oats and oat kernel oil. While the components aren't gluten-free, we strongly advise discussing the list with our doctor if we have a gluten allergy so they can ensure its safety for us individually.
