Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous Foundation: Makeup Review

When I received the Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous Foundation in my subscription box, I was instantly curious. I’ve always known Anastasia Beverly Hills as a high-end brand, mainly famous for its brow products and professional-quality makeup. So seeing a full-sized foundation from them really caught my attention. What convinced me to try it right away was the promise of a luminous, radiant finish, something I personally prefer because it makes my skin look healthy and fresh. And of course, since it came from a luxury beauty brand, I had high expectations.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous Foundation is part of ABH’s expansion into face makeup. While ABH first became popular for brows and eyeshadow palettes, they later introduced complexion products like this foundation to give customers a complete glam look. This particular foundation was created to give natural, radiant coverage that lasts throughout the day. It comes in a sleek glass bottle with a pump, giving it both a luxurious look and convenient use. The product has also been marketed as suitable for all skin types, including dry, normal, and combination skin, because of its hydrating formula.

I recently discovered the Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous Foundation in my subscription box, and I was so excited because this brand is known worldwide for its high-quality makeup. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much at first, but after trying it, I was pleasantly surprised by how it performed on my skin.

The very first thing I noticed is how easy it is to blend. Some foundations can feel thick or patchy, and you really have to work hard to spread them evenly, but this one is different. It glides on smoothly, whether I use a brush, sponge, or even just my fingers. It blends seamlessly and doesn’t leave any streaks, which makes my makeup routine faster and less stressful. For someone like me who doesn’t want to spend too much time fixing base makeup, that’s a huge plus.

Another thing I love is how it made my skin look flawlessly fairer and radiant. It gives that healthy glow that looks natural and not overly shiny. My face looked fresh and bright, almost like I had naturally even skin. I think the luminous finish really helps give that youthful and glowing effect, which is something I always look for in a foundation. What’s even better is that it feels light on the skin. Even though it gives me good coverage, it doesn’t feel heavy or cakey. It’s like wearing a second skin, which makes it comfortable even for long hours.

One of my biggest concerns when trying out a new foundation is whether it will cause breakouts. My skin is quite sensitive and easily reacts to certain formulas. I was really happy that the Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous Foundation did not break me out at all. My skin stayed clear, calm, and irritation-free, even after using it several times. For me, that’s already a big reason to like this product because I can’t keep using makeup that harms my skin in the long run.

However, I also want to be honest about the downsides. When I did a transfer test, I noticed that the foundation leaves marks. For example, when I lightly pressed a handkerchief against my face, the product transferred and left a stain. This means it is not completely transfer-proof, so if you wear it under a face mask or accidentally touch your face, you might see some product rub off. That can be a bit disappointing, especially considering that this is a high-end foundation. I feel like if it were more transfer-resistant, it would be close to perfect.

Aside from that, I also noticed that because it gives a luminous finish, in hot or humid weather, it can look a bit shinier on oily areas like the T-zone. For me, this is not a dealbreaker since I can always blot or set it lightly with powder, but it’s something to keep in mind if you have oily skin.

Now let’s talk about the price. In the Philippines, this foundation is sold for around ₱2,500 to ₱3,000 depending on the store. That is definitely on the expensive side compared to drugstore foundations, but I think the price matches the quality. You are paying for a luxury makeup brand, a beautiful formula, and a product that gives professional-level results. Even if it costs more, a little goes a long way because you don’t need a heavy amount to achieve good coverage. One bottle can last quite a while if used properly.

So, is it worth it? For me, the answer is yes. I think it is worth buying if you are looking for a foundation that blends easily, gives you a glowing and flawless look, and doesn’t cause irritation or breakouts. It’s not perfect because of the transfer issue, but with the right setting techniques, it still performs beautifully. For special occasions, events, or even everyday use when I want to look extra polished, this is a foundation I can trust to make me feel confident.

In conclusion, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous Foundation is a foundation I really like. It makes me look and feel good, it’s easy to use, and it enhances my skin in a natural way. Even though it has some downsides, the overall experience is positive, and I believe it’s a product worth investing in if you love makeup that gives both glow and comfort.
