Megan Poreless White Sunflower Face and Body Sunscreen Lotion: Skincare Review

In the Philippines, the heat is so intense that even brief exposure to the sun can cause severe skin burns. That's actually how I always feel. The extreme heat of the sun causes my skin to burn, especially on my arms. For this reason, I'm desperately searching for a sunscreen that I can wear on both my face and my body. Fortunately, Megan Poreless White Sunflower Face and Body Sunscreen Lotion caught my eye as I was browsing the department store.

According to the brand, the consumers will experience poreless white with Megan Sunflower Face and Body Suncreen Lotion. It is a lightweight and non-greasy formula that is easily absorbed by skin. Its SPF15 keeps the skin protected from harmful UV rays and sunburn leaving our skin soft, healthy, young and glowing.

Although I've seen this brand for a while at department stores and other reputable pharmacies, I've never really tested any of the sunscreens sold under this label. As I had just purchased the brand out of the blue and was also searching for a daily sunscreen, I had no expectations because I had never read anything about it.

It's the sunflower, though, that makes me want to get this. Having previously used sunflower oil and noticed positive results for my skin, I decided to give it a try as a sunscreen, thinking that perhaps it might benefit my complexion. The pricing also persuaded me to purchase it because it's so affordable when compared to other sunscreens, so I figured I should get it. Its vibrant yellow packaging was another thing I loved about it; it gives me the impression that the product contains a lot of sunflower extract.

I tried it right away after my nighttime skincare regimen when I got home. Its texture seems a little thick and heavy on the skin, similar to other sunscreens. It appears overly white on the face and creates a cast if it's not applied evenly, so you have to distribute it over the entire face fairly. I also became a little concerned that the thickness and weight of the product on my skin would create clogging. While using it, I consider the possibility that the consistency may irritate my skin.

My skin became more oily after using it, which was one of the problems I observed. To counteract the oiliness that the product causes on the skin, I believe it is better to use powder first thing in the morning after applying the sunscreen on the face. That's what I'm doing; I've noticed that it momentarily conceals my face's oiliness, but I have to reapply the powder often since the oiliness eventually reappears. Additionally, I saw that the sunscreen's SPF was just 15. Although the spf is decent, there are alternative products with greater spfs that offer more protection from the sun. I was unaware of this when I purchased it. Perhaps its inexpensive price is due to its low SPF content.

The product works well on my arms, but because it's just SPF15 and comes in a 50ml container, I have to reapply it frequently. Even so, it did assist to some extent with my arm sunburn. I use this sunscreen over my entire body. I stopped using it on my face since it left me looking overly greasy. Considering how it made my face experience, I wouldn't really suggest it to anybody else searching for sunscreen. Even though it's okay to use on the body, I still don't think it's a strong enough reason to highly recommend it because it's only SPF15, and with the intense heat in the Philippines right now, we need higher SPF.
