Althea Petal Velvet Powder: Makeup Review

When you're pushed for time, especially if you're behind schedule for the day, applying makeup could be challenging. The only way to handle that is to set an alarm and rise early. But if, like me, you're too lazy to apply a lot of makeup, you may utilize this to your advantage. I tried with the Althea Petal Velvet Powder I had ordered online.

It is one of Althea’s very own product range. It is a transluscent powder that sets makeup and leaves behind silky finish skin. This product is infused with oil from Althea seeds, this works to cease sebum production without drying out the skin. Hence, this product will make your skin look radiant and fresh all day. It sets makeup, minimize pores, and smooth unevenness, leaving the skin in a satin finish that’s soft and supple to the touch.

Benefits

🌺Micro-fine particles that minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines.
🌺Satin finish that mattifies without dehydrating the skin.
🌺Natural and cruelty-free ingredients.

How To Use

Pick up product using a brush or puff provided and apply evenly onto the skin.

Ingredients

Silica, Mica, Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Methicone, Hibiscus Syriacus Seed Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glyceryl Caprylate, Maltodextrin, Fragrance

I used to really like using BB creams, cushions, and other products. Because I’m concerned that someone could see my imperfections, I’m not in powder mode. My skin consequently got better after utilizing several Kbeauty skincare items. I’m now bold enough to limit my makeup use to lip products and powders. I came upon Althea Powder when looking for an excellent powder. I can very clearly recall using this sort of stuff back in high school. I bought it right away, and two weeks later I got the item.

I’m trying a powder from a Korean skin care product for the first time. The package is adorably high school in style. It did not actually remain on my face for very long, like other powders. Perhaps as a result of my oily skin. For the first three hours, it made my skin glow, but after that, it started to look patchy. I’m wearing my eyeglasses, so whenever I take them off, it leaves a mark on my face. The product is sufficient for one month’s worth of use. Despite the fact that it has a cushion inside, I still preferred using a brush. Use of this product is recommended in conjunction with BB creams or foundation. It was my mistake since, despite the fact that the powder is supposed to set makeup on the face, I applied it alone.

As you can see, this product appeared to be nude in shade, but it really belongs to Althea’s Petal Velvet Powder’s limited-edition sunny coral range. I saw that it provided a dazzling blush after application, but it also gave my complexion a sun-kissed shine, making me appear darker than my natural skin tone.

I will not purchase it again since it made my skin darker after using it. It did not impress me since, aside from the color it provided, it did not reduce the oiliness of my skin. I can only suggest it as a setting powder as is, and I’d want to advise anyone who wants to try it that you may need to reapply it every 2 hours, especially if you have oily skin like mine.

My Overall Rating:
⭐⭐(2/5)
