Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator: Skincare Review

As we age, our skin changes, and so should our skincare regimen. We need a skin-care routine since our skin is sensitive and susceptible to irritation when exposed to harsh environments. The use of face scrubs or exfoliators may be harmful to the skin, according to some studies, but picking an exfoliator with a fine and delicate texture might help our pores. One of the gentle exfoliators I found in one of my subscription boxes was Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator.

This product, according to Dr. Brandt, is a professional-grade physical and chemical exfoliant combination with a creamy wash texture that thoroughly cleans pores to remove the extra oil and impurities that cause them to grow. Salicylic acid breaks down oil and dirt and promotes the exfoliation of dead skin cells to improve clarity, and hyaluronic acid regulates moisture levels to prevent our skin from drying out and developing flaky spots.

For a physical buffing that cleanses pores, PoreDermabrasion also uses micro-sized aluminum oxide crystals, while caviar lime extract acts as a chemical exfoliant to smooth and brighten the face. Moreover, they stated that they contained less than 1% of synthetic perfumes and were devoid of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing compounds, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, and triclocarban. In a self-assessment test they conducted on 30 volunteers, they claim that 100% of the participants said their skin felt cool and refreshing after one application, 93% said their skin appeared smoother and softer after one application, and 93% said the product polished away dead skin cells and revealed radiance after four weeks.

I learned about this product from one of my subscription boxes. I'm not a big fan of facial scrubs or exfoliators since I worry that they'll irritate my skin, but I gave it a try out of sheer curiosity. Since I had tried so many physical and chemical exfoliants in college and found them all to be worthless, I had little hopes for this product. My skin has always been fair but slightly imperfect due to clogged pores, textural issues, and occasional acne.

Just after using this for the first time, I was astounded by how clear my pores looked. And it still amazes me after two weeks of regular use. With this product, my skin's appearance and texture have seen a significant transformation. Even though some of my pores remained large, I noticed that my skin tightened and softened. It just takes a little to have a significant impact. My sensitive skin can use this product without irritation while still receiving the full benefits. Absolutely, I recognize how delicately textured this stuff is. It is quite gentle and did not even slightly irritate or hurt my skin. In contrast to several other products, it didn't dry up my skin.

I alternate using this product with my face mask once or twice a week, giving myself a three-day rest in between applications. My face is less oily, with less breakouts and discomfort since I started using the item from this range in addition to another acne product. Although it's an expensive item, I'm glad it was included in my box. My skin has really improved. I also had the impression that my regimen would be more effective because the products would be able to penetrate my skin rather than just trap dead skin cells on the surface.

I must admit that the product really impressed me. My skin responded favorably to it. After a few applications, I tested the product to see whether it would cause my skin to get red or irritated by applying greater pressure than usual. I was shocked to find lovely, incredibly smooth skin that was devoid of any signs of redness. To anybody looking for a mild or fine-textured exfoliator, I would without a doubt recommend this product. But, while certain scrubs like this aren't necessarily dangerous, over-exfoliating of any kind may harm the skin, so always check your skin type first.

My Overall Rating:
⭐⭐⭐⭐
(4/5)

The product contains Alumina, a multi-functional auxiliary component that is mostly employed as a pigment transporter. An inorganic sunscreen (like titanium dioxide) or a colorant that is combined with alumina platelets and frequently covered with some sort of silicone can be used as the pigment (such as triethoxycaprylylsilane). Due to a particular process, pigments may be readily and uniformly spread out during application as well as equally distributed throughout the formula. Both mineral sunscreens and cosmetics can benefit greatly from it. Alumina can also be employed as an opacifying (reduces the transparency of the formula), a viscosity-controlling, and an absorbent agent. It is occasionally used with the mattifying powder known as polymethylsilsesquioxane.

In addition, we must stress that this product includes Microcitrus Australasica Fruit Extract. This is a fascinating looking fruit coming from the Australian sub-tropical rainforests. It asserts that it is an AHA source and that it may gently exfoliate the skin for a complexion that is smoother, brighter, and more even.
