La Roche- Posay Lipikar Balm Intensive Repair Moisturizing Cream: Skincare Review

Dry skin on the face can be caused by a variety of factors, including temperature or humidity changes, the use of harsh cleansers, and skin conditions. If not enough sebum is created or replenished, the skin may become dry. Dry skin can itch in addition to looking flaky, rough, or having red spots. Using a moisturizer is crucial and could be helpful if this is the main issue we are having with our skin.

Just in time, I learned about the La Roche-Posay Lipikar Balm Intensive Repair Moisturizing Cream. This came to me from the Allure Beauty Box. According to La Roche-Posay, this cream moisturizer is for dry to severely dry skin and has a unique prebiotic influence on the skin flora. Clinical studies have demonstrated that it can reduce dry, rough skin and provide all-day comfort.

What is a microbiome?

The term "skin microbiome" refers to the invisible population of bacteria and other microorganisms that reside on the skin's surface. Each person is unique in this complicated and varied world, much like our DNA. Recent research has demonstrated the significance of considering both the skin barrier and the microbiota. Changes in the microbiota may be connected to a disruption of the skin's natural barrier, which can lead to excessively sensitive skin.

How is a pre-biotic beneficial?

Prebiotics are food for bacteria that aid in fostering a favorable environment for the development of the skin microbiome. These should not be confused with probiotics, which are live bacteria used to target the digestive system and gut flora.

This cream arrived precisely when I needed it. I had dry skin because of the environment and the face wash I was using. My skin had burns and inflammation, which was quite obvious since it was bright red and flaky. It was pretty irritating and painful. It didn't seem to be coming to an end. Right around the time my friend suggested I apply a good moisturizer, my Allure Beauty Box showed up.

A La Roche-Posay moisturizer is something I've never used before. I had heard amazing things about this brand and had previously looked it up and seen how expensive this cream was, so I was pretty happy to receive it as a sample. This tester is quite efficient even if it only has 15ml. Over the first two days of application, I noticed a reduction in my dry skin's itchiness.

After taking it for a week, I also observed that my skin was becoming healthier and recovering. My skin's smoothness and texture also appeared to have improved.

This product is a miracle worker for dry skin. I haven't tried using it on my body yet, but I will the following time. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone with dry skin.
